Ex-Duke forward Khamenia transferring to UConn

Former Duke forward Nikolas Khamenia announced his commitment to UConn on Saturday.

A former five-star recruit, Khamenia averaged 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds as a freshman at Duke during the 2025-26 season.

The Los Angeles native also shot 44% from the floor and 34% from deep in limited action, earning five starts for the Blue Devils.

In Duke's Elite Eight loss to UConn, Khamenia recorded seven points, two rebounds, an assist, and a block in 22 minutes.

Listed at 6-foot-8 and 215 pounds, Khamenia's production increased with expanded minutes during the Blue Devils' run in the ACC Tournament, where he averaged 10.7 points over three games.
