UConn guard Braylon Mullins will return to school for his sophomore season, he confirmed Saturday.

The 6-foot-6 Mullins was projected to be taken in the mid-to-late first round, with some projections penciling him in as a lottery pick had he declared for the NBA draft. The guard is instead committing to another season under Dan Hurley, joining Silas Demary Jr., Jayden Ross, and Solo Ball as key returnees.

Mullins, a five-star recruit in last year's class, averaged 12 points and 3.5 rebounds while starting in 29 of 33 games. Mullins entered NCAA Tournament lore when he drilled the game-winning basket against Duke during this year’s Elite Eight.

He won't be the only top-rated prospect on Hurley's squad next season, as UConn also secured a transfer commitment from former Duke big Nikolas Khamenia on Saturday.
