Montreal Canadiens defenseman Noah Dobson is due to miss the start of the postseason.

Dobson sustained an upper-body injury and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the team announced Sunday. The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Saturday.

The 26-year-old appeared to suffer the injury on a blocked shot in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Dobson had 12 goals and 35 assists for 47 points while averaging 22:29 of ice time this season.

The Canadiens have recalled defenseman David Reinbacher. The 21-year-old was selected fifth overall in the 2023 NHL Draft. He recorded five goals and 19 assists with the Laval Rocket in the AHL this season.
