Michigan, Denver join Wisconsin, North Dakota in Frozen Four
The Frozen Four is set.
Michigan and Denver won its quarterfinal matchups Sunday to join Wisconsin and North Dakota in the Frozen Four semifinals.
The semifinals take place April 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Michigan will play Denver, while Wisconsin will face North Dakota. The final is set for April 11.
Michigan hung on to defeat Minnesota Duluth 4-3 on Sunday, while Denver eliminated defending champion Western Michigan with a 6-2 victory earlier in the day. Wisconsin and North Dakota each won Saturday.
Denver's 10 men's hockey titles are the most in NCAA history, followed by Michigan (nine), North Dakota (eight), and Wisconsin (six). Michigan is mired in the longest drought of the four programs, with its last championship coming in 1998.
