The Los Angeles Dodgers traded for an intriguing bullpen arm Monday.
The Dodgers acquired right-hander Seth Halvorsen from the Colorado Rockies for outfield prospect Landyn Vidourek and minor-league pitcher Nick Frasso, both clubs announced.
Halvorsen, who's currently on the 15-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation, was on a minor-league rehab assignment. He will remain in Triple-A, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
The 26-year-old owns a 4.31 ERA with 8.4 K/9 over 75 appearances dating back to 2024. He sits in the 98th percentile for fastball velocity this season and isn't arbitration-eligible until 2028.
Vidourek, 22, is the 25th-ranked prospect in the Dodgers' minor-league system, according to MLB Pipeline.
Among Los Angeles' minor leaguers, Frasso ranked as high as second in 2024. The 27-year-old has dealt with multiple long-term injuries over the last few seasons.
